Emily Hatchwell

Quantitative Pharmacology Scientist

Emily Hatchwell is a Quantitative Pharmacology Scientist with expertise in pharmacokinetics, mathematical modelling, and data analysis. She holds an MSc in Modelling for Global Health from the University of Oxford, where her research focused on the pharmacokinetics of pyrazinamide in tuberculosis patients co-infected with HIV. In this project, she developed a population pharmacokinetic model using Julia and Pumas AI to assess the impact of covariates such as HIV status on drug clearance and exposure.

Emily has experience applying mathematical and computational modelling techniques to a range of biological and pharmacological systems. She has worked on malaria transmission modelling, developing a dynamic, seasonality-based model to evaluate public health interventions, and has used Bayesian methods to study the spread of multi-drug resistant bacterial infections.

At Physiomics, Emily is part of the Quantitative Pharmacology and Data Science team, contributing to pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modelling and simulation projects.
